Case Study: Pro-actively monitor process stability and health with manufacturing analytics. Detecting and responding to potential issues in real time before the final product is affected is part of what Industrie 4.0 promises to deliver. Addressing the Management Challenge
There is an abundance of articles detailing “10 reasons why so many MES projects fail” or “Why are 70% of all Process Improvement Projects Failing?”. The sad reality is that many more projects are considered failures than successes. The catalogue of reasons is endless, but one of the primary failure factors originates in the boardroom.
Ensuring success in any manufacturing improvement initiative requires more than capital and human ingenuity; a number of rather nebulous stars also have to be aligned. There are often unintentional organisational forces that, if not addressed, could derail digital transformation initiatives. Mr Masureik will share a tested strategy for managing these forces within the corporate cosmos, based on his experiences both as an operational and manufacturing technology leader.
